Weekending: Pizza, Birthdays, the Zoo, Oh My

Oh what a weekend! Pizza, brews, birthdays and the zoo! Recapping all the weekend fun on the blog. #weekending #weekendupdate #weekendupdate

Ok, this is the 4th time I have started writing this. My computer is my enemy right now. So, does anyone else feel like March flew by? I cannot believe this is the last week of the month. But we managed to jam pack a great weekend.

//Friday//

I picked up E early from school and we headed to the park behind our house for felt pizza picnic and soccer with daddy.

Then we dropped E off at her school for parents’ night out, i.e. pizza and movie party for the kiddos! WE finally went to Funky Town Fermatorium, which is Deep Ellum Brewing’s Fort Worth Taproom. The pizza was amazing and the hubs had a Fort Worth only brew.

We ended out night at Home Depot to finally get a new mirror for our half-bath. So romantic.

//Saturday//

It was back to dance after spring break and man I missed my littles.

After dance and twirling, we took a nap and then got all fancy for Uncle David’s 70th Birthday party at Del Frisco’s in downtown. This was E’s first upscale dining experience. She had a blast playing with the big girls and giving toasts and saying cheers!

//Sunday//

No time for rest, as we headed up to the Zoo to meet two of our besties for a much-needed playdate. These three girls had so much fun. They ran, jumped, giggled, and pet all the animals they could. It is so fun to watch them interact and to see each of their distinct personalities comes out.

After 2 1/2 hours at the zoo, we headed to Woodshed for lunch with the group. It is Chef Tim Love’s BBQ restaurant and it was gorgeous to sit on the patio and let the girls play more. And then the tired hit them all. We almost had meltdown city, but we escaped just in time. Then we all came home and napped for 2+ hours. Needless to say, we all needed it.

We dined on leftovers for dinner and then E and I baked cookies.

The rest of the evening I cleaned up the house and put away the winter clothes and brought out the shorts and spring/summer wardrobe pieces. I also always take that time to get rid of things I did not wear for the season. I cannot believe it already time for shorts weather again. I am not complaining, just it came rather quickly.

And, if anyone is interested, I am doing a 5 day sugar detox challenge starting Monday. I would love to have anyone join. No strings, all free, includes recipes, tips and a meal calendar.

Happy Monday everyone, let’s make it a great week!
