WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:

If you have followed me for any time now, you now that healthy eating that is family friendly is my jam! So, this week we are having homemade chicken tenders with sweet potato fries, turkey tacos and salmon!

This peanut’s modeling debut for my sorority’s fashion show. I was an Alpha Chi Omega at TCU and for the last 27 years we have been doing a fashion show and silent auction to raise money for the Women’s Center of Tarrant County. This year, E and her two besties were legacy models and they had a blast! Oh, and the ladies raised $115,000.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO

This turned out to be quite the busy month. Let’s recap. I hosted a sleepover for 6 of E’s friends and their mamas.

 
 

And I got to celebrate my sweet BOFF and her new addition to the family! I cannot believe that blogging brought us together almost 7 years ago. We have celebrated so many events from weddings to babies and I just was so happy to be there and squeeze her neck!

 
 

I also redid my living room! It was kind of a slow, spur of the moment project. I never truly loved my living room furniture and just kind of got it when I needed to host a shower at my house almost 4 years ago. So, I decided it was time for it to be more “us” and comfortable. I will do a full recap next month.

WHAT I’M DREADING

Not much actually. March is going to be busy, but good. And I am hoping the weather evens out.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON

All the things!! New blog content for sure. I am some posts coming up about my closet organization, Dollar Store finds and some mother/daughter dates for all!

In my fitness business, we are relaunching with some major upgrades our nutrition program: The Ultimate Portion Fix! Autumn Calabrese originally introduced Portion Fix when she launched 21 Day Fix and now she is back with more recipes, more nutritional info and kid meals to boot! Oh, and they are relaunching 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme to be retaped in real time! And YOU can get in on the live action. This is the program and meal plan that changed the way I look at food and how I live a healthy lifestyle without cutting out any food groups! Let me know if you want info.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT

Warmer weather, my “godfather’s” 70th birthday party, our regional baton twirling competition and St. Patrick’s Day!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING

Ok, so currently we have The Little Mermaid on Repeat in our house… but I am also loving Grey’s Anatomy (can’t stop, won’t stop), This is Us and Suits. I was so unsure of Katherine Heigel entering the cast, but I am loving her so far and watching Katrina’s character blossom!

Reading—Sunburn by Laura Lippman. I got it for Christmas and I am diving into it on the weekends and so far so good. And speaking of books? Did you catch my Top Ten Must Reads?

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Not a darn thing and I am so excited for it! The last two weekend have been jammed packed, so I am looking forward to a carefree weekend at home.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW?

Not so much as new, but I just wanted to again thank those of you that have stuck with me after a few controversial posts. This space will always be one where I refuse to afraid to write about and discuss hard topics and issues. I truly believe that we cannot always post the pretty fun, Pinterest-worthy things since that’s not life. Like I have said in the past, I may not be everyone’s cup of tea and I am ok with that!
