What's Hap-Pinning Wednesday: Home Decor Edition

Happy Wednesday All! My house is in a state of total chaos (again) as the floor installation continues! I can't wait to show you all the finished product, but in the meantime, all this kitchen remodel has made me want to re-do more!

I was recently introduced to the online interior design company Laurel & Wolf and I was challenged to think about how I'd remodel my living room.  I know, my living room, again? Yes, I know I just finished decorating the downstairs living room, but with the flooring upgrade and the other kitchen updates, I am wanting to redo it all.

It should be no surprise to you all that have been around these parts that I love grey. If I could paint all the walls in the my house it would be a lovely shade of subtle grey.  My husband, however, would prefer something less, well grey. So, introduce greige!  Greige, you say?  Oh yes, its the perfect marriage between grey and beige.

So, after choosing the perfect shade of greige, I think my décor would just need a couple of accent pieces to feel truly complete.

Right now, the living room is a mix of mid-century modern and traditional.

I would love to add some large bookshelves to the wall behind the couch, like these.

I think shelves would anchor that wall and provide "art" with functionality.

And last but not least, if I didn't have a tiny person running around, I would add some small décor pieces to finish off the space. Like, poufs that I have been loving from various sites, a tall lamp to provide some mood lighting, and some mirrored items to compliment my side table.

So, what do you think? And how would you remodel your living room? Need inspiration or help?  check out Laurel & Wolf. I was not compensated for this post, I just have the remodel bug!
